Biblical Eldership Study Guide,
This review is from: A Study Guide to Biblical Eldership: Twelve Lessons for Mentoring Men for Eldership (Paperback)
This book and study guide are very comprehensive in their look at the subject of eldership in the Bible. You will have to decide if some of the conclusions are accurate but the book and study guide will help identify almost all the issues about being an elder in the Bible.

This review is from: Biblical Eldership: An Urgent Call to Restore Biblical Church Leadership (Kindle Edition)
If you want to truly look at what the Word says about the role of Elders in the Church, then after the Word itself, this is the definitive work on the topic. Balanced, comprehensive yet true to Scripture, this book is a call to Elders functioning as set forth in the Word...a must handbook for any Elder and especially for those who have the heart to someday serve as an Elder...could be the best ten bucks you ever spend on a book!

The companion discussion guide is helpful, especially if the board is working the exercises separately, and then meeting to discuss. An excellent and Biblically sound study.

I'm kind of new to Kindle but other books I've read have page numbers at the bottom. This book doesn't so is hard to follow in study with others using hard copy. The book itself is exceptional. Well researched and supported by scripture. Definitely the authority on Elder led church polity. A great resource for anyone considering serving as an elder or those who already are elders. Very helpful for churches considering elder leadership too.

this is an excellent exigesis of a very scarred subject and very misunderstood church polity. It is a subject that needs much explanation and study. Words fail me except that Gods'Hand is on this beautiful work. excellent, excellent, thank you for these revelations.

Strauch's book is based on the interpretation of scriptures which prohibits women from being teachers or leaders in the church. While the content of the book appears to be exhaustive on the role of elder, it is all directed to men. That should be emphasized in the book's description on this site.
