This workbook was not required for my class but I decided to purchase it anyway with the hope that it would help me more fully grasp the material. I also purchased the online Cengage tools. Given the choice now, I would stick with the workbook. Each chapter begins with "Goals" and "Outcomes" that I use as a quick determination of my overall grasp of the reading. This is followed by a thorough "Chapter Overview" that is incredibly complete and has helped me understand concepts that I did not completely understand in the chapter. "Helpful Hints" provides suggestions on how to avoid common student pitfalls as well as ways to more easily solve chapter problems. "Terms and Definitions" is nothing more than simple matching but offers a nice vocabulary review. Then there are "Problems and Short Answers" that are ordered in such a way as to guide the student toward deeper understanding. The "True / False Questions" encourage further conceptual considerations as do the "Multiple Choice Questions." Each chapter ends with an "Advanced Critical Thinking" section which is not difficult but is effective in bringing all of the chapter concepts together into a meaningful whole. The most useful aspect of this workbook, in my opinion, is that ALL ANSWERS ARE PROVIDED. I so appreciate this aspect. Receiving immediate feedback is simply priceless.

This workbook helped out with learning definitions and what things were. I just couldn't grasp it from what the teacher was saying.

I purchased this book two years ago, only as a study/review aide. It's a pretty good book, to test your knowledge on the chapters from the actual text book. It is pretty heavy, it's a softcover book. It's in decent condition, no writing/highlighting/wear or tear on the pages. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a study aide to go along with their textbook. It's at a reasonable price. It was very helpful for me in so many ways, especially when I had to prepare for exams.
