More About the Author

Greetings,

First of all, I want to thank God for allowing me to be here to share my story with you all. Only God could have brought me thus far.

Stuff Happens is true life events during a brief period of my life. I originally wrote Stuff Happens as an outlet for stress. It started off as thuoghts and feelings on a couple of sheets of paper and turned into many thoughts and feelings on many sheets of paper. It begins with the arrival of Hurricane Katrina, but it mainly tells how it personally affected my life. While going through some of the things I went through, I constantly asked myself was it just me. I soon realized I was not the only one with a story to tell, so I decided to share my story in hopes of encouraging others who may relate and encoyuraging myself to not give up.
Hurricane Katrina was my disaster we all have our own in some kind kind of way.

WE must Survive Disaster by Turning Tragedy into Triumph!!!

Thanks for taking your time to read my story and remember
STUFF HAPPENS.........

If you thought Florida and James from "Good Times" had some hills to climb, well this guy is moving mountains. Just when you think things are going good for him, stuff happens. However, he never lets all the stuff that will happen stop him. While reading I found myself cheering for him to keep going no matter the circumstances, and that's exactly what he does. It's an amazing story of triumph over tragedy... and bad luck.

Patterson has written a thoughtful and provoking story. He gives us a glimpse into his life during tumultuous times. Katrina was a devastating storm that is still having aftereffects. Patterson became an open canvas sharing his ups and downs. Stuff happens...Patterson shows us that you have to keep moving forward and pushing on in order to succeed. Two Thumbs Up

This is truly a survival story. When Benjamin is met with natural disaster, his whole life is turned upside down.

After circumstance forces him to relocate, Ben is at the mercy of government aid, FEMA benefits that he must fight for and the hunt for a job in an unstable market. Each time that things seem to look up, fate continues to knock him down.

I was truly inspired by this young man's courage. No matter the obstacles against him, he was very persistent in bettering himself.

I look forward to reading part two of this and to learn how the struggle has truly paid off.
Hats off to you Mr. Patterson, you've done extremely well on your first novel.

The concept for this story is good, but its not told well. I'm going to leave it at that and I wish Mr. Patterson good luck with future stories that he has to tell.
