Excellent Book For First-Timers,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing (Paperback)
I have been ordering magazines, books and videos about RVing, for about 1 year now. This book is one of the
best I have received. It is informative, reads very easily, well written, and laid out in a manner that compels you to go on to the next chapter. Not all the information is for new or first-timers, and it is a book I would keep, and use as a reference for many years. I would recommend this book for first-time RVers, those still contemplating the life style, and seasoned RVers looking for a simple, well written book covering a wide range of RV topics.

All You Need to Know. . . Not Quite,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing (Paperback)
Well, not quite. . . but nearly! Of the "RVing" books I've purchased, this rates among the best. It is relatively complete and up to date, considering the fast changing pace of the life style/industry. Remember, everyone has an opinion, and these authors opinions are pretty much in agreement with mine. oRV

Don't Buy This One...,
This review is from: All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing (Paperback)
Don't buy this book unless you a planning to buy the largest coach RV and live in it full-time. The two authors are full-timer's who happen to have huge bus-sized, diesel-powered RV's (behind which they tow their cars) and they wrote this book totally geared to that lifestyle. Even though they claim it is, almost nothing is mentioned about or applicable to travel trailers, truck campers, small to mid sized RV's or even 5th wheels. The information is a lot of just plain common sense (lock your doors, put your antenna down before traveling, free campsites save you money, etc.) and a few things specific to their really large coach RV's and towed behind cars. The photos are small, blurry, outdated and mostly, it's hard to tell what the authors are making reference to. In addition, this book is just way overpriced for the information provided, no matter what you are planning. I have seen other books out there which I believe are much more useful. This book was a big disappointment. Save your money, look elsewhere. I wish we did.
