Stuff on a Stick is a very interesting cookbook, not the kind I am used to at all. Each recipe is submitted by a different user. This book includes 21 recipes for stuff on a stick. These include:

Each recipe is very detailed and has step-by-step information, including lots of pictures. Some recipes have over 20 pages of information each. Overall, I think that a lot of these recipes are more trouble than they are worth, but if you have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, it might be worth trying some of these recipes. One I would like to try is Ice Cream Pops (you take ice cream and make small scoops, insert sticks and dip them in Magic Shell). You definitely can't beat the current price (free), so I would recommend giving it a look-see if you are interested at all in any of these recipes.

There are some fun and interesting ideas here, but because it was more of a contest of sorts, it is definitely not the 'book form" I expected it to be.

My expectations were a lot higher for this book. Disappointed.

I did not appreciate the 'narrative writing' included by some of the contributors, as well as many un-related pictures and the lack of precise measurements on a couple of the recipes.

Granted I do not often measure things in my own kitchen as I cook... but if I am passing along a recipe, I do make the effort to pay attention to how much I am adding and write an aproximate guideline (in real measuring terms) for the person receiving the instructions.

The one recipe included a TON of completely irrelevent landscape pictures that took up about seven pages I had to scroll through to continue to the instructions - annoying!

I think this book could have used an editor's hand before publishing.

The pictures are enough to make your mouth water! :D Yum! For those that are concerned with data usage, this book is a bigger than most. But the recipes are great and it really makes you wonder -- what else would taste good on a stick?
