This was my mother's absolute favorite cookbook growing up in the 1970s. My aunt still cooks from it. My cousins all attended Collegiate School, for whom it was published as a fundraiser in 1973.

I look forward to finally finding my own copy of it.

If my wife could only keep three recipe books out of the 40+ we own, this would be one of them!

I, too, received this as a wedding present in 1978 and it is in tatters from use. My favorite is the crab quiche and even though the recipes are full of fat (like people used to cook), it's not hard to make them more healthy. There is another Cougar II published in the 90's but it isn't anywhere as good as the first one. You can still get both in bookstores in Richmond, VA, but this is a better price.

I received this cook book as a wedding present in 1974 and it is my favorite cook book of all time. Have been looking for a new copy as the original is literally falling apart from use! The two most used recipes for me are the fruit cobbler and Chili. Makes a great wedding or shower gift. I still remember the person who gave it to me!!

I l-o-v-e this cookbook. My best friend in elementary school attended Collegiate, and my mom bought one of these cookbooks in the late '70's--she was nice enough to let me have her copy. It's usually the first cookbook I refer to when looking for a recipe. I'm getting ready to order another copy for a friend of mine...
