Bought two for an Austin Powers themed party (sharks w/ lasers). The fish, itself is 24", however, the size of the hat part that fits the head is very large. Don't buy for a child, or you'll be disappointed. In the front, it comes almost down to my eyebrows (so, forget it if you want any kind of a hair style under the hat). Not sure if I'll be able to use it. My husband loves it (he has VERY short hair and a larger head). The quality is good, for what it is. Not fabulous, but good, and, it is pretty cute. The side fins hang down almost like dog ears (or, if you're lucky, they'll stick out to the sides & you'll look more like the Flying Nun).

We needed a shark hat to lighten the mood at a company meeting, and needless to say these hats didn't disappoint! They are much bigger than I thought they would be, and fit everybody's heads just fine. After a few shark attacks, some of the side has rubbed off a little bit, but don't let that discourage you from ordering as they are a definite conversation starter.
