I own this watch, only in Stainless Steel. I paid much more. I love it and get many complements. It's a good size, but still feminine and professional looking. I have had many women want to buy it right off my wrist! No way! I love the self-winding. Hate taking watches in for batteries, and they don't seem to last long. This watch is a classic, you won't tire of it and it will last a long time, you will probably be handing it down to relative. You can also change bands if different color is wanted for different seasons/occassions. Enjoy!

I just received this watch and wanted to write immediately without the benefit of long term use because my experience was different from one of the other writers.
My watch looked just like the picture except even more beautiful. Did you ever get an item and just shiver because it was so perfect? Well, this watch is worth a lot more than I paid, with free overnight delivery added! I adore it. The band is just like the picture.
As for the oddball instructions cited by the other writer, the only thing I noted like that applied to a date function which was obviously inapplicable to this watch. There was nothing in my instructions that made me at all hesitant to wind it, either manually or by the self wind function. I wound it and it started going just like it should. I have not yet had the time to test its accuracy.
This is no costume piece. It is large (but not too large) and heavy. It comes with a manufacturer's warranty, and it is beautifully and carefully packaged. It might be hard to read in some lighting because of glare, but the hands and numbers are large and easily read if there is no glare. And my eyes are not the best!
I am sorry the other writer did not share my happy experience. By the way, I ordered through Amazon.

This is the second watch I have bought from Stuhrling. It is beautiful and came exactly as pictured on Amazon. I love the self winding feature and what most people don't understand is that the more you wear it the longer it keeps time. It works based on the motion of your hand. I would never have any other type of watch as who wants to bother with batteries. Rolex also uses this feature. It is hard to find an affordable watch with this feature. I don't know what the other person is talking about, as I phoned Stuhrling and the phone was answered on the second ring. I would recommend this watch to anyone. I have gotten numerous compliments on it. Hope you buy one and enjoy it as much as I have.

I got really tired of having batteries die on watches, making me go look for automatic winding watches. I really liked the look (and the price) of the Shurlings and decided to buy. The watch is a bit heavy and larger than usual for a woman's watch but it looks really great. Also, I have some vision issues so a larger face with actual numbers seemed really great.

Be aware - the hands on this particular model are difficult to read. The gold hands blend into the gold workings - espcially in bright outdoor light. I've been told that a good watchsmith can paint the hands so I will liekly have this done if it's not too expensive. I really wanted the real gold instead of the 'gold tone' watch - if reading the watch is an issue for you, buy one with the white face and black hands - it will be easier to glance at and see.

To those who feel the watch doesn't keep good time - you're not 'winding' it enough. The watch needs movement to wind (that's why they sell 'winders' for them). I spend most of my day at a computer and I'm right handed so my left hand (the one with the watch) doesn't move all that much. I had problems with the wath slowing down. If you take it off and don't wear it for a day or two it will also run slow and eventually stop. You HAVE to make sure that it gets the necessary movement.

The manual said 1000 strokes fr a full 2-day charge. That sounds like a lot but I found that that's a bit less than 10 minutes of stead back and forth motion with the watch. The 'winding' doesn't have to happen all at once though. So - rock the watch back and forth to 3 songs you might be listening to during the day. Or - take ten minutes and go for a walk, moving your arms back and forth. It doesn't really take much, you just need to make sure you do at least 5 minutes every day.

In general I love the watch and would suggest Shurling as a good choice.

I bought this watch as a Birthday Present. When my partner opened it up she was initially thrilled. The styling to the watch is excellent, however after closely following the "activation" instructions it wouldn't work!! Not a single tick!! I have returned the watch and will check today to see if I have a refund ( feel sure I will have).
Sorry not the Brand for me again!!

The watch came in a nice package where you will find the guaranty to fill out and instructions on how to take care of your watch.
This watch is really beautiful however it is not always easy to read the time.
It has been two weeks that I ordered it from amazon and I am very satisfied about the watch and amazon in general. However, I discovered a crack on my glass yesterday that seems to be a stress crack.I do not remember of any impact but I may be wrong. I just emailed stuhrling so I am experiencing the customer service.I will come back to give some news.

Please do not waste your money on this watch. I brought it in February this year, and it stopped working in March. I sent it to the copmpany for repair, and I received it back last week-STILL BROKEN!!! The watch was still set at the time that it had stopped before I sent it in! I called the company (again), and was told that I could not get a refund, and that if I sent the watch back in, they would replace the entire automatic movement. I angrily told the receptionist that the company was supposed to do that in the first place! So I'm stuck without a watch, or the hundred bucks I that I spent on it.

I bought this watch for my mom she aboustly loved it and plus and got it for 90 wow this watch is worth a lot more like 3 4x times as much the inside there is lots of detail inside this watch is aboslutly beautiful great swiss quality highly recomend.

From the very first moment i saw them, I just fell in love with them.
Look modern and cool and exactly the same as featured.
Love watching what's inside and how it is working.
Strongly recommend it at such a small price for such a good quality!
