Product Description

Luxe style meets an innovative skeleton design in the Ladies Lifestyle 'Wall Street' Gold-Tone Skeleton Automatic Watch from Stuhrling Original. A genuine mother-of-pearl dial showcasing hand-engraved mechanical automatic movement (caliber 90089) makes this sleek, modern timepiece a perfect choice for work or dress wear. Individually applied Arabic numerals, alpha hands, and an onion-style pull-out crown with padding at the four o'clock position showcase the high quality Swiss craftsmanship that makes the Wall Street so durable and easy to wear. Solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel lends polish, while a lizard embossed genuine French leather strap ensures comfort. The Wall Street is also water resistant to 165 feet. Arriving in a Stuhrling Original watch box with instruction manual, and cleaning cloth, this one-of-a-kind timepiece makes a lovely gift.

They are a sort of red/brown color which blends in with the mechanism.

Be forewarned that Stuhrling offers an extended warranty to people who post good reviews. Phooey on them for that.

The watch is absolutely lovely though huge for a women's watch. As I expected when I ordered it, I just love looking at it. I am kind of a geek and also fascinated by the self-winding mechanism... though having read other reviews before ordering, please do not be fooled into thinking that Stuhrling has solved the problem of perpetual motion. "Self-winding" works when you wear the watch, and is propelled by the motion of your arm. If you leave the watch sitting, it can't "self wind".

The watch hands are not as high contrast as they look in the photos. The mechanics of the watch in the center are rather dark in most lighting situations, casting shadows, etc., and the hands (and numerals) are a (gorgeous) deep red. I don't even like red, but I really admire the look. I just have a hard time reading the watch without twisting it into different angles. I think the hands would be more readable if they were black and/or thicker (they are very delicate).

The band on this particular watch is horrible, and stopped me from wearing the watch... the "snakeskin" is a veneer and although I've only worn the watch twice, it's already starting to peel on the edges and bubble up in the middle of the band. I found the veneer cheap from the start -- it looks totally plasticky and is not at all in line with the quality of the watch. But suddenly, I realize I can just get a new band.

In the end, I am glad I got a Sturhling skeleton watch, but would perhaps have been happier with a different version, one that had higher contrast on the face and that had a real leather band.

I purchased this watch for my wife's birthday. She was looking for a mechanical watch, she was tired of going to the watch store every year to get batteries replaced.

She's told me that this is the best watch she's ever had. That's saying something, since she has quartz watches costing many times more than we paid for this watch.

So far it's been keeping perfect time and she only had to manually wind it once.

I'm actually thinking about a Stuhrling watch myself. I've got a few months to wait for my birthday however.

The watch is wonderful looking, It keeps good time, the only unfortunate set back is the fact that the watch must be wound up everyday. This I find to be a little antiquated. However My Wife loves the watch and wears it everyday. Over all it's an Excellent watch in My Wife's opinion.

It is a pretty watch - but that is it. I wore it 2 days- and it started to tarnish. There are rust like spots all over the watch. So much for the 21K gold plating. The watch is made in Hong Kong - that is why there is no place on the watch or the box stating the country of origin.
Do not waste your money! The "Swiss" watchmakers are in New York.
