Crystal is low quality...., May 13, 2009

I bought this watch a few months ago and from the time I received it I've loved it. It's a gorgeous watch and the size is perfect (for my larger wrist). Now, on to the negative. I researched this watch for hours on the internet before buying and seen very few negatives about the watch. One of my main concerns was the quality of the crystal. This watch (supposedly) has a Krysterna crystal which is one of the strongest crystals a watch can have. They're supposed to be basically indestructible. I've worn this watch almost everyday since owning and wear it to work and in casual settings. This watch did NOT get abused in any way. I noticed one day though that there was a scratch on the crystal. I was furious, as I'm sure most would be. So, I took it off and the next day I looked at the watch again and it had cracked the ENTIRE way through from side to side. My watch now needs a replacement crystal, which I'm sure isn't cheap. The crystal is NOT covered through the warranty. Stuhrling claims to sell "quality" pieces but I beg to differ. So, stay away from this watch, or at least buying through amazon (I now question if the watch was authentic).

I get comments all the time about this watch. Beautiful watch that looks expensive but is very cheap. You can't beat this product for the price
