I bought the match partly because I believed it was Swiss made as per the advertising. This is not the case. The mechanism is Japanese quartz and the company is in fact based out of Brooklyn (it appears they are only using the name of defunct Swiss company and building watches "inspired by their Swiss tradition").
The quality of manufacture is slightly more than I expected for the price, but it is not great. I particularly do not like the quality of the release buckle; it is cheap. Make no mistake, the watch is beautiful and does appear to be much more expensive than what it really costs. This is the reason I am giving them 3 stars. Nice watch, try not to deceive me next time and I would have been a happier buyer.

This seemed to have a nice combination of looks, price, comfort, feel. I was very happy with it initially. And then, after not much use, the number "2", part of the number "12" at the top of the dial fell off!!! It dropped to the bottom of the watch! I have never seen or heard of such a thing before. It suggest low quality material and incredibly poor construction. I would never buy a Stuhrling again.

I've had this watch for about 4 months now and seems to be good quality. The seconds dial does not move like most watches so don't freak out when you first turn it on.
Pros: Looks nice, accurate, good construction and quality(as of 4 months), and durable leather strap. Cons: Would be nice if the seconds hand moved..., very large face meant for larger wrists, and the clasp for closing the strap can be difficult to use. Overall: Nice watch that can be used for casual and semi formal wear.
