In today's modern world where almost every item imaginable has a microchip in it, it's refreshing to find an item like this where craftsmanship and mechanical elegance take center stage. There's just something to be said about winding up a finely tuned machine and watching the gears turn.
This particular watch is well made and came packaged like it cost 5 times as much. I'm very impressed with the Stuhrling brand - so much so that I've ordered another one of their models.
In my opinion, the only downside to this watch is that you will not be able to read it in the dark as the hands are not illuminated, but that is not such a big deal to me and is to be expected on a watch such as this.

Not bad at all, February 10, 2009

Beautiful, yet casual. A little big, but he loved it anyway. We had our valentines day early because of work, and when he opened it today; he absolutely loved it. He didn't put it down for even a second.
