Celebrate the solar eclipse everyday with the Stuhrling Original Men's Classic 'Baily' Automatic Retrograde Rubber Strap Watch. The polished rose-gold-tone stainless steel case and beveled bezel complement the rose-gold-tone accented dial. A handsome brown dial features a dramatic rose-gold-tone eclipse design along with rose-gold-tone Arabic numerals displayed at the four, eight, and 12 o'clock hours. Sharp rose-gold-tone luminous hour, minute, and second hands are accompanied by rose-gold-tone red-tipped date and day hands. The date is displayed in a crescent toward the center of the dial, and a day subdial appears at the six o'clock position. An outside minute track features triangular luminous indices at each hour position. The black pigskin leather strap fits comfortably and fastens securely with a buckle clasp. This timepiece relies on automatic-self-wind movement and is protected by a synthetic sapphire crystal. The watch is water resistant to a depth of 165 feet (50 meters).

I knew from a previous review that the band is leather and it is, but the leather does not look like the image. It is too light to match the watch face. I will have to change it before I wrap it as a gift.

item is as described. very nice item. only issue i have is the clasp piece that is on the outside of the band. the clasp is sweet and i like it , but this ine part that has sturling original stamped on it seems to be having the finish rubbed off of it from when i am at my desk and my wrist brushes against the desktop.
it appears that the finish is thin - i would have thought at these prices the item would be solid brass. am hoping the watch case wears better - time will tell.

I just received this watch yesterday, and it truly is a beautiful watch. Be aware though that the color of the metal is much more "copper" than it is gold or brass. It's still a very striking watch, but not quite the color I expected. The controls are easy to understand, and the various functions are easy to set. Also, the product description says that the watch band is made of rubber--it's not. It's leather, and high quality leather at that. Not sure what's up with that.
