Very nice looking, but big, heavy, and broken
on March 14, 2010
I was very happy with the watch when I first received it. My only complaints were it was heavy and bigger than I imagined. I was worried about the band being rubber, but I was pleasantly surprised how soft and comfortable the band was when wearing it. I wore the watch for 2 weeks until I decided to take it into a local jeweler to look at. I read the instructions on how to wind the watch so the auto-wind function would work, and the first time I used it I wound it 40 times like it said. The watch lasted 2 days before it stopped. I wound it again 40 times and it lasted one and a half days. By the end of the 2 weeks I was winding the watch 2 times a day. It turned into a fancy looking bracelet that I couldn't rely on for the time. The local jeweler told me the auto-wind weight was stuck and I should send it back for a replacement. Well, Amazon doesn't have a replacement policy. They only have a return policy. If you want the same item again, you return the product, wait for the refund (taking over a week), and then order the item again at whatever price it's selling for at that time. By the time I received my refund, the watch was selling for $58 more, so I didn't re-order. I hope that my experience isn't normal.
