Product Description

Stuhrling Original

Stuhrling Original’s Regatta Champion is a proud member of the Water Sports Collection. This diver style timepiece features a solid stainless steel case with a unidirectional ratcheting bezel. The dial conveys a simple elegance with large Arabic numerals, baton indices, and a matte finish that makes it easy to read, even at depths of up to 200 meters! The Regatta Champion comes equipped with a solid stainless steel bracelet.

Krysterna Crystals

Krysterna is proprietary to Stührling Original and refers to the crystals that are used in its timepieces. Krysterna stems from the eyewear industry and has more strength over a spread surface area than sapphire. Krysterna crystals are more scratch resistant than mineral crystals and more shatter resistant than sapphire crystals.

Stuhrling Original

The Regatta Family is part of the Aquadiver Collection, which is inspired by the prestigious lifestyle of yacht racing. These bold and solid timepieces utilize solid stainless steel cases and bracelets coupled with unidirectional ratcheting bezels.

To start... I'm a sr director at a large international jewelry company and have many watches(rolex, baume, omega, etc). I bought this mainly to wear golfing and in the pool or ocean. Noticed online the watch has a swiss quartz movement, date, nice looking green bezel, heavy polished band, and decided for the price, how can I go wrong?

So the watch arrived and was better in person than online...very attractive band, brilliant bezel, nice movement. Heavy weight bracelet and case. water resistent to 600ft. My corp office is filled with people wearing $10,000 to $100,000+ watches yet I have been receiving more compliments on this than any watch I've worn before. I also like the idea of having battery power again. If I dont wear my rolex, omega at least every other day, I need to set and wind it. Would def recommend this watch and brand!

I've had a long-standing interest in time pieces, be it watches, clocks, hour glasses, or sun dials. At one point I was an absolute snob, if it wasn't Swiss Made (not Swiss Movt - watch aficionados know the distinctions), there is no way I'd wear it. Over time I came to appreciate Japanese, German, and even Chinese watches. Today I can be seen wearing a $20 Sottomarino I got on clearance at Precision Time, or my $4,000 Breitling "Grail" watch. With that in mind I decided to give this Stuhrling a try.

First, this is not, never was, and never will be a $325 watch. It's a $50 watch at best. But it has a Swiss Movement you might say. Big deal! When my Invicta Pro Diver died, I replaced the Ronda 515.24h GMT movement for less that $20 shipped. Imagine what Stuhrling would get a cheap Swiss Movememt for when buying tens of thousands of units, not just one like I did. Second, while the watch feels substantial, the bracelet is not solid, the links are folded steel that are poorly finished. When you fold on the bracelet you can see the poor finish between the links. Third, while nitpicky, the green on the bezel should be deeper green. Lastly, while I'm not a diver, I have to imagine the thinness and stiffness of the bezel would make it next to useless for timing dives.

At less than $60 it is a decent value. If you are used to Tmex and Casio, it is a step up in terms of quality and appearance. So long as you go in expecting a sub-$100 watch, you shouldn't be too disappointed. I still think the Invicta Pro Diver with Swiss Movement is a better choice, and for less than $100 you can pick up an Invicta 8926OB and have one of the best value automatics ever made. I however wante a splash of green, so I gave the Stuhrling a shot. We'll see if it grows on me.

a very nice watch and a great price as it was featured in the Gold Box special. i am sure the $695 regular price is just made up, but the watch is very nice and the band was easy to change to a smaller size. a heavy, good watch with a colored bezel.

    Pros:
    Excellent watch ~ Great size - 43mm!
    Super solid watch bracelet!
Easy to wear clasp on with nice stuhrling engraving on it!
Looks like a rolex submariner green color at a glance!

    Cons:
Luminiscence could've been a little brighter

Overall : Still a 5 stars! If you dont want to spend a ton of cash on a watch that looks and feels an expensive watch, this it definitely the one!

The watch is handsome, heavy, and looks and feels more expensive than it looks. I bought 3 of these, different colors.

I was hoping for an inexpensive piece that shows some of the charm of a Rolex Submariner green bezel at a fraction of the price -- less than 1% of the Rolex actually. In this regard it fits the bill. Obviously it's a quartz movement but it seems to be reasonably accurate. The green bezel is more reflective than I'd like -- kind of like green tinsel. I wish it were semi-gloss or matte. The notched bezel when observed from the side is nice and adds a little flash but out of the box the rotation of it is very stiff. The crystal face is flat instead of slightly domed as you might find in a higher quality sapphire crystal piece. There is no date magnification. The second hand hits close to the marks but isn't spot on. I suspect that the alignment of the movement to the tick marks is mostly chance as it seems to be in inexpensive pieces. The hands though appearing as they should be luminous hardly show -- don't count on reading it in the dark. After removing a few links the band fits well and is comfortable. I don't expect that this piece will last for the long haul but I'll be happy if I get 5 years out of it before something fails. I don't trust the water proofing at this price point so I'm keeping it out of the water.

Pros: Nice weight, a little flash, accurate timekeeping thus far, quite inexpensive
Cons: Bezel is overly shiny. The date is small and not magnified. Areas that should be luminous are not.

For a pretty inexpensive Swiss watch that looks and functions great, I don't think you can find better than this.

I bought one because I liked the look and the different color dials. At about $65, this is a steal. It has worked perfectly in the year that I've owned it. The watch is pretty substantial, with a medium-large face, and the face glows in the dark. Date function works well.

A few months after buying this one, I got a very similar model but with a black face because I liked this one so much.

If you can find a well made and inexpensive Swiss watch that looks and works as well as this one, buy it!
