Definitely one of the best books on the subject,
This review is from: Stunt; the story of the great movie stunt men (Hardcover)
This book is a thorough account of the history of stunts in American cinema. (The author specifically notes that the book does not focus on the foreign film industry). A very interesting read, especially since stunts were a very large part of the very first movies, it's basically a history lesson of early cinema/Hollywood in general. Awesome book.
