If you love to laugh and you love politics, get this book! It's hilarious. The quotes are funny, witty, and down right dumb. I'm purchasing two more copies of this book to give as gifts. Kudos to the author for giving us a break from the "serious" side of politics and a good laugh to boot.

In the radio business, I get to interview a lot of politicans, and I respect a lot of what they do. It's great to have a book that takes a humorous look at some of the things said in public, which were probably not intentional. It's great that politicians can laugh at themselves. There is enough tension in this society, and a little humor is always welcome.

I had the chance to interview Rueter on my radio show "McAndrew in the Middle" on WHBL and was impressed with his wit and humor. We need more books like this. We take ourselves too seriously!

Another great book on this subject was written by Wisconsin State Senator Carol Roessler! :)

This is a great book-particularly in the middle of this election season. I recommend it to anyone who's interested in politics or seasoned democrats.

Dr. Rueter has done us all in the American Government teaching profession a true service: 2 books of comedic quotes that both Republicans and Democrats have said and that we can say again - in "fair and balanced" lectures that can, if applied in appropriate dosages, awaken some of our students from their MTV comas. O'Reilly and O'Franken watch out - the O'Rueter Factor is coming!

Very funny. Also very scary. No wonder our Tony Blair seems to have got stupider hanging with these blokes.

I was hoping to get a good chuckle out of some of the quotes documented in this book. Despite having a healthy sense of humor I found most of the quotes more sad than funny. Particularly when some of the quotes exhibit straight out racism by Republicans of the past, I am just saddened.

In seems many of the quotes were examples of misspeaking rather than a genuine ignorance of a topic. In that case, it is more of an accident than being "dumb". In the context of a lack of understanding, it also seemed 1/4 of the book was devoted to the misspeakings and inventing of words by George W. Bush. At this point in time, these lack value in humor and are somewhat tiresome.

Buying this book for purposes of humor is a mistake. More than humor, the book demonstrates ignorance among a small minority of Republicans. Coming from across the aisle, even I failed to find the humor.

Don't waste your money. If you are looking for humor or insight
into the political world, this won't do it. If you are looking
for a cheap hit piece on George W. Bush and Arnold Schwarzenegger, written by a radical left-wing professor, here
you go. There is no sign of research or thought, just a lack of
humor, and an inability to recognize humor when it is obviously
spoken in jest.
Spend your money elsewhere, this title is misleading.
