For misquoting December 7th, 2012 to some random sportscaster instead of the true source being "Animal House."

One Star for you, for mischaracterizing someone as stupid.

One star for the injustice of misquoting Sweeny Murti. Here's a link to the story: [...]

Hopefully Mr. Murti isn't too hurt by this whole deal. But seriously, "Animal House" is a very funny movie that you should definitely go see!

...you'll start your day off feeling a little better about yourself as you digest the written and spoken foibles of others.

January alone contains offerings from George H.W. Bush, Donald Trump and Yogi Berra (and to be completely fair, and not unfairly categorize him with Bush and Trump: many of the things Yogi is famous for saying far are very far indeed from stupid...just harder to grok by those of us who aren't Yogi Berra).

You can also go online, enter the registration code and get them by email (in case your daily email flow doesn't already have the daily minimum dose of stupid!).

I purchased this old calendar at a garage sale thinking that I would get a few chuckles out of it. Turned out few was the right thought as there were not many that I found funny. The point of this collection is to provide a humorous thought via something a famous person said. It just didn’t work for me and as so many of the reviewers pointed out, they really messed up the quote for December 7. A simple Google search was all that was needed to realize this.

They release a calendar trying to make people look bad with quotes and they are the ones who look bad! Pathetic lack of knowledge, terrible at confirming facts, incompetent that they released a calendar with a quote listed on December 7th as stupid. These two are the stupid ones for not knowing that the quote was from the movie "Animal House'! "Over? It's not over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? [...]

While I don't actually own this calendar, I feel compelled to review this calendar with a one-star rating due to the fact that the authors did not perform their due diligence for their Dec 7th entry.
I am assuming that the source of the entry, "Richard Oberholtzer", submitted the quote to the authors at stupidestcalendar@yahoo.com; it is unfortunate that this one slipped through the cracks of their vetting process.

These "foremost experts in celebrity stupidity" blew it big time with the Dec 7 entry that calls out sportscaster Sweeny Murti for "serious problems" with historical facts. The real problem? Murti was using a super-famous quote from the movie "Animal House"--something these "experts" failed to notice or research before defaming this guy. What other facts did they get wrong? How many quotes have been taken out of context? These are valid questions after such a colossal screw-up.

I purchase this calendar every year because it is so clever, and there is enough room for notes on each day's page. I contributed a blooper headline from a prominent paper to the calendar and since they told me the year and day it would appear, I was able to buy them for friends so they could see my name printed on one of the pages.

I've been buying this calendar each year (I did miss one year) for about 12 straight years, and it's always the best calendar of its kind on the market. Funny, and will start your days off right.
