I first read this book because I live in his area and like him as a person. His book gave such insight into the area and it turns out I know many of the wonderful close friends he talks about. He captures them perfectly - they have not changed. Still wonderful. It is heartwarming besides being a success story. Kudos to Mel! I bought several - even one to replace the edition at the Pahokee library that was lost to hurricane damage.

This book is great, shows his humor and humble side. He is a very nice man and a great entertainer, if you are a fan of his you will love this book. If you aren't you will be after reading this.
