The contributors to this book discuss the principles and procedures that are crucial, in their view, to transfer and maintenance, or related directly to the process. They have some differences in beliefs about the nature of stuttering and have, therefore, had somewhat different experiences in therapy. We accept this. Our objective is to enhance the practicing clinician's realistic understanding of stuttering and stuttering therapy. Of course, clinicians have to filter what the read here through their own experince.
