If not, use warm, wet compresses 3-6 a day on your stye.

If you look at the ingredients, white petrolatum which is in fact petroleum jelly.

I've had a stye once before and didn't use anything to treat it, I just let it run it's course (went away in about a week). So a few days ago I started to notice that my eye was really sore, but there wasn't any swelling, so I didn't realize that I was getting a stye. Yesterday when I woke up, my eye was really really sore and a bit swollen on the upper eyelid. I lifted the eyelid and realized that I had a stye on the inside of my eyelid. I did a little research online, and decided to just apply warm water to it 3-6 times a day. Around noon, it was bothering me so much, that I decided to go to Walgreens and try this Stye ointment. I first held the warm wet towel to the eye for about 10 minutes, then I put a little stye ointment on a q tip and applied it directly on the stye. I did the same thing just before bed. This morning, I woke up with no soreness at all, and the stye is almost completely gone! I didn't expect it to work so quickly. Very pleased with the results.....I'll probably apply it once more just to be sure, but this seemed to work perfectly.

Also, I have to mention that I didn't touch the stye at all. I think some people make matters worse by picking at it. You should probably just keep the area clean, apply this ointment, and leave it alone. It'll heal. Hope this helps....

I bought this because I thought it would help lessen the pain associated with a stye however this product made it worst. If you look at the ingredients, white petrolatum which is in fact petroleum jelly. This actually holds in the germs instead of letting it pass out.

I went to the doctor and now on antibiotics amoxicillin pot clavulanate 500mg and have eye drops called ocuflox.

I bought this product to relieve the pain associated with a stye. It did NOTHING! I went to my eye doctor the next day and he told me that in his 10 years as an optometrist he hasn't met one person who has said it helped.

I would definitely go to an eye doctor if you can afford it. If not, use warm, wet compresses 3-6 a day on your stye. I can't say much for relieving the pain other than Advil.

Developed a stye on a Friday and by that Sunday, I was in such terrible pain I figured I'd try this product. So not worth the $10 I paid. It's says right on the box it's not designed to cure a stye, only to lessen the irritation - which it did not do anyway. If anything, it made my vision blurry and my eye burn and water more. No relief like the product promised. Will not be purchasing again (and, in fact, will be contacting the manufacturer to see about getting a refund).
