This review is from: Style Manual for Authors, Editors and Printers (Paperback)
Thrown into an editorial / technical writing role, i purchased this book earlier this year and found it to be invaluable. Both rules and guidelines are provided to cover almost all aspects of documentation - character formatting, date notation, the use of bullet points, logos, indentation, the list goes on.I was able to use the information as a basis for creating my own Documentation Style Standards Document. The standards were accepted without question as they were developed from a wider set of standards already in place. If you've ever been unsure of whether to italicise or bold, spell out or abbreviate - this is the reference you need! |
