First of all these are NOT SINGER BOBBINS. If you want REAL SINGER bobbins, go here. Or go to a craft store.

These bobbins came in a tiny plastic bag. Generically packaged, no name on the packaging whatsoever. It is very clear that they are obviously OLD, USED and REPACKAGED. They are definitely NOT NEW. They have scratches all over them and appear YELLOWED AND MIS-SHAPEN as well. I would not order these if you want new, unused, Singer bobbins, because I can GUARANTEE you these are NOT SINGER bobbins.

I did order this style (below) and they came in a SINGER package, NEW and were definitely NOT curved in appearance, yellowed and scratched. If you want NEW REAL SINGER bobbins, buy these - more expensive yes, but in the long run, you may save your sewing machine from a breakdown.

I paid for 10 NEW Singer 15J sewing bobbins. However the bobbins that I received were clearly not new. They were in a plain unmarked plastic zipper bag, so there was no way of confirming that I received the Singer 15J bobbins that I ordered. In addition, the bobbins were received in poor condition (yellowing and scratched).

I would not recommend these bobbins to anyone because:

These bobbins would damage my thread because they have flashing all in them.
They are made with very thin plastic, I fear in time and with wear they would soon break in my sewing machine and damage my machine.
Most of them were old and dirty.
I am new to sewing, but always want quality. The bobbins that came with my new sewing machine were of very high quality and this is what I expected.
I have returned all of them, asking for a refund.

These showed up as a cheap bulk option when I was looking for bobbins. It took a long time to get them in hand (no surprises there as it said as much in picking my shipping options) because they shipped from Guangzhou China. They came in little baggies of ten with no labels or anything to indicate they were anything but generics. They are yellowed transparent plastic and in some cases slightly bent. I have not tried out all 30 yet but I expect they will all work. If you are looking for bright and shiny in Singer packaging, this is not your product. This is a much cheaper version and you get just what you pay for.

I have a Singer sewing machine that uses 15J bobbins. However, I bought these from a seller here on Amazon and what arrived was a knock off brand, not Singer's brand. They did not fit right in my machine. Real Singer brand bobbins 15J, I don't have a problem with these would not work properly and was loose fitting. Learned my lesson and will not buy bobbins from Amazon again!

Pros:
- Cheaper than any other bobbins you'll find (and free shipping!)
- I haven't tried all 10, but the 2 or 3 I did try all fit my sewing machine (Singer FashionMate 7256)

Cons:
- Though they arrived within their estimate, they took over 3 weeks to arrive. I got a little impatient.

Overall, I've been pretty pleased (after waiting three weeks for them to arrive!). They are not officially packaged, might not even be new, and I'd guarantee that they aren't Singer brand, but they fit my sewing machine. I'd rather get 10 bobbins for $1.50 than 1 for $1.50.

I have a Singer that requires 15J bobbins. I received these in the mail and noticed right away that they are a slightly different shape than my Singer 15J bobbins. They are also a yellowy color. The packaging is marked "15J bobbins" so I know they sent me the "correct" bobbins. I tried to put thread on one, just to make sure it didn't work and the hole in the middle is too small so these are useless to me.

After purchasing my new singer machine. I was thrilled I wouldn't need to buy more bobbins. I like to keep a bobbin loaded for every color thread I use, so I have several. My old machine uses size 15 bobbins I have them in plastic and metal. The plastic looks identical, so I looked online to see if I could use the metal ones too. I found a site (?) that told me the difference. The inside is con-caved slightly. So out go all the plastic ones. I will keep the metal ones for the older machines that use them. Instead of the 10 pack I knew I would need many more. I am waiting for delivery on the larger package. Hope the bobbin feeder works as well transferring from bobbin to bobbin as it does spool to bobbin. The trick has always been to put the thread through one of those tiny holes and holding till you get a row then snip off the excess. I wish these 15 j's were better marked I wouldn't want to take a chance on damaging my wonderful new machine. Happy Sewing
