Frankly, for the price paid I wouldn't expect anything more than this. The cheap plastic molding is visible near the hinges but that would be expected. The glasses claim passing FDA inspection with impact resistance lenses. UV 400 protection is claimed too. It meets ANZI Z80.3 high UV protection standards. I walked around a bit in the sun with it. Pretty good (I wouldn't know whether I received 100% or 99% protection from UVA/B). In summary, this is ideal if all you want is a pair of sunglasses which you don't want to care about like it was some fragile gold bubble.
I recognize that its cheap, but to have plastic molding literally unfinished and jagged is unacceptable. Also the lens is plastic and opaque, went right in the garbage.
I was going to buy a glasses repair kit until I realized that would cost more than the glasses did in the first place. I guess I didn't expect much from sunglasses this cheap. They did look good while they lasted though, I would suggest getting a couple pairs if you buy though because they will break easily.
They don't look super cheap, but they sure don't look expensive.
As a college kid I wanted some fun sun glasses that I didn't care about dropping or losing, that I could wear at night if I wanted, and overall were fashionable. Everything about these glasses fit the bill and they have lasted a few months without issues now. I use them in the sun, even though they don't have UV protection. They still help "dim the lights" while outside.
My only gripe with these glasses is that they are not purely "black" lenses. There is a slight dark brown to them which is only barely noticeable, but still noticeable. While wearing them everyone see's them as dark black lenses and you can't see the persons eyes. But while I wear them I notice that things are not just darker, but also have a very slight tint. It doesn't bother me, and for the price isn't really worth the gripe, but still worth pointing out.
1. Extremely cheap looking
2. The lens is a weird tint where it actually makes it harder to see when wearing them
3. The frames had scratches, large imperfections and pieces of chipping plastic
4. The black plastic part is either extremely dirty or just very cheap- was not black, appeared a dark grey
5. The seller shipped the glasses in a piece of plastic in a thin envelope (absolutely zero protection)
I paid under $3 for these classes so it almost seems stupid to write a negative review because I paid next to nothing for them.
