It's still the best hair control stuff I've ever used.

The hold is strong and you can style it even with your hand afterwards because the paste doesn't dry off, it stays in your hair.

So glad to have found Axe Whatever. This is some excellent hair product. You can use a little or a lot, depending on the look you're going for, and it still gives great results.

Just want a little extra control? Rub a bit on your fingertips (I use both hands), then just muss your hair a bit by running your fingers through it. You're done. Want a more messy and clumpy look? Use a coin or a fingernail to get a larger amount of product out of the container. Rub it between the fingers you're going to be styling with, and apply. Start at the roots and work up. It's super thick, so way too much can look greasy. No need to overdo it.

I've used SO MANY hair products in searching for something I really like. Axe Whatever beats them all. Not so stiff as regular hair gel. Not so wispy and flyaway as spray gel or hairspray. Not so oily and slick as pomade like Slick Works or Tres Flores. Second day hair doesn't look too bad either when using Whatever. It even works better for me than Waxworks from Paul Mitchell, at about a quarter of the cost.

When it's super windy out, I only need 10 seconds in front of a mirror to fix my hair by hand once I'm back indoors. The control is that good, and it remains pliable.

The scent is nice. Hint of coconut. Smells similar to Nexxus Humectress. It's kind of a stiff putty, which is cool. Easy to use the right amount.

It also seems to have the added side effect of making my hair grow faster, and I'm not the only one to notice. Maybe it's protecting my hair better, or it needed some ingredient this has. I don't know, but it's healthy. I'd recommend this to just about anyone, male or female. It works great on anything longer than a buzz cut, all the way to long hair.

I like it, but it's not for every occasion and not everyone will like it.

I've used many types of hair products. I've been using gel for years, and before that mousse (remember that?), and some really old guys might even remember brylcreem.

This stuff is thick and pasty and you need to put it on right after you shower when your hair is quite damp, because the paste is like clay, if it's too dry it won't work. It's very thick and has a very good hold, much better than gel.

First of all, my hairstyle is the messy hairstyle, that's the only way I've worn my short hair for about 5 years. I've been using gel all that time and my gel (Pantene) drys very dry without any oil or crunch at all. The only problem is that my hair dries straight.

With this paste, it too dries without being oily, but it dries a little pasty, like you've rubbed clay in it. The hold is strong and you can style it even with your hand afterwards because the paste doesn't dry off, it stays in your hair.

I continue to use both gel and paste, there really is no need to only just use one. I use gel on lighter days and I use paste when I'm likely to be out a lot. The bottom line is, you won't really know if you like it or not unless you try it, just look at all the difference responses on the other Axe paste review. So I wish Axe had come out with a trial sized version for people to try. For me, I like it, I just don't use it all the time, I alternate it with other hair products.

This is a great product that I cannot find in stores anymore.

I wear a high and tight with just enough length on top to put some gel in it. The two BEST FEATURES of this product are the spf 15 sunscreen and the consistency of the gel itself.

I have thick, coarsely textured hair and this gel holds it well. It isn't stiff, leaves a natural feel yet gives good shape and gloss. Nothing else I use does as well and gives the sunscreen protection that I want. I hope AXE hasn't quit making it. I'm glad I found it on amazon.com.

The only problem I have with this stuff is that everyone else in the house who uses hair gel and buys their own ignores their own and helps themselves to mine - it disappears too fast.

I also don't care much for the jar it comes in but I'll put up with that because it's such a great product.

I buzz my head in the summer. Couple that with the fact that I drive a Wrangler w/o a top most days, and it's needless to say that my head has had its fair share of sunburns.

The Axe buzz cut cream is great for my buzzed head. It's not oily or greasy, adds some moisture to my scalp, makes my hair shine AND protects me from sunburn. Can't go wrong.

Also, I used to pay ~$8 per jar for this. 3 jars for $12 is a steal. Fantastic.

I am not a "product" guy, or I wasn't until I got a big boy job and had to look more presentable - that included using hair product. Well, I have tried a lot of different ones, expensive and cheap; creams, paste, glue.. and by far the Axe Styling Cream (yellow - Buzz Cut) is by far the best. I put a small amount on in the morning and it last all day. I have tried all the other Axe products but nothing comes close to this. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it in stores lately, so I'm glad I can stock up via Amazon.
