I wanted to improve the accuracy of text entry into my iPhone 3G. Just received and tested this stylus. Found it actually less effective as an input device. I haven't tried it without my screen protector (thin acetate) simply because I wouldn't go without this. Perhaps the stylus would be more effective but in my opinion it should work as advertised with the protector in place. You have to press too hard to achieve a response from the controls and the rubber tip definitely won't last - it peels like a pencil eraser and will likely detach from its glued adhesion to the pen body. This was only a few bucks so worth trying from my perspective but I'd pay more for the right product - this ain't it. We'll see if Orion Gadgets can recommend a better one or give me a refund. It works but very poorly - I'm sticking with my fingers for now.

Too bad it doesn't work as expected. What could go wrong with a pointer? Primarily, the rubber tip. It doesn't scratch my iPhone screen, but then it doesn't slide across the screen either. Most apps for the iPhone require sliding settings, icons, etc. This stylus hangs onto the screen and would be great in tires on a wet road. Pushing it around was so aggravating that I put it in the drawer after using it for a couple of minutes and have never used it again.

The second shortcoming is that the stylus has a slanted end. Tapping on the iPhone screen with just the pointy end doesn't work. The tap has to have a slightly larger area in contact with the screen. Which means I had to tip the stylus back to use it to tap. In that position, it was impossible to slide the stylus. It was a distraction to use a stylus that required different positions to do different tasks and took some effort to use it.

I bought a Pogo stylus and like the round, smooth, foam (nylon?) tip that taps firmly and slides easily. I just wish the stylus was a little longer.

Don't waste your money on this. It works only by pressing harder than you do with your fingers, and it doesn't slide smoothly across the screen. I suppose it would be ok if you're typing in an address, but for going from screen to screen or moving around easily on a map, forget it.

Bought this to make things like note writing more accurate on my Ipod Touch 3G. Unfortunately, it hardly works at all. Requires a lot of pressure, and that makes writing even more difficult than with my finger. Pushing icons is also really difficult to do. I would not recommend buying this even at 1 penney.

This product was cheaply made and does not work well. The item is not even shaped correctly for proper use.

I purchased this item with the expectation that it would work like any other stylus. I was wrong! The rubber end of this device forces you to push down for the iPhone/iTouch to sense it. It could be said that it might be effective in touching the app buttons, easily accessible with your finger. It struggles to get the individual letters on the keyboard, and again requires the tip of the stylus to be depressed in order for the device to sense it. Unable to swipe or scroll a page due to having to depress. Overall, this device was found to have no use, and not for someone looking for a device to work in increase their accuracy or speed in navigating the device. Poor choice in purchasing!

The pen is useless for anything other than pressing buttons. You can't use it for any gesture such as wiping because the rubber tip just drags on the screen. I thought the pen would have a stylus tip but it doesn't - it's just like an eraser. At least I only lost $3...

I purchased multiple copies of this pen; intending to use them in different settings (home, office, etc.).

The pen does not work, period. Save your money. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

Although this iPhone stylus looks more professional than the looped top one, don't go here.. this one and the silver one like it suck big time. I purchased both of them and the tip doesn't work very well, the conductivity of it don't work on the iPhone very well at all. Save your money and go with the looped top looking one , it actually works better.

Earlier research stated that stylus pens do not work with the 3G iPhone but this pen works like a true champ! I am using the pen to write this review and it really, really works! I purchase the silver stylus pen and it didn't work but this one does.
