Needs replacing too often,

I, too, find that I have to replace the cartridges WAY too fast for the small amount of printing I do -- and cartridges for this model are NOT refillable.I have to replace the magenta and yellow cartridges again, but when they're empty I'm buying a better printer.

A HUGE waste of money,
This review is from: Stylus Color CX5000 and CX6000 Durabrite Magenta Ink (Office Product)
I purchased a multi cart printer cx6000 in the hopes of SAVING on ink. The opposite was true. ALL 3 color cartridges and most of the black were empty after about 9 pages of simple text and 2 1/2 pages of "wallet size" prints with the quality set at medium which is the default setting. I lowered the quality to 1 notch above "draft" and I managed to double the life of my next set of cartridges which is miserable. I will never buy epson products again. This is outright thievery on their part.

Epson Ink - Rip Off with NO capacity,

No doubt about the other reviews with the other folks frustrations. The printer is fine and prints nice and fast. What is totally unsatisfactory is the ink cartridge capacity. I'm not sure if it dries in the cart, or the printer pulls in a lot of ink when doing a nozzle check, or Epson puts 10 drops of ink in these cartridges; but something is horribly wrong when I can't print more than 40 pages over 6 months and have the carts go empty! What is even worse, if you have just one cart go out, you can't continue your print in pure black and you're stuck not being able to do a thing until you fork over the money and get that cart replaced. Not fun if you need an emergency print of directions or something for a trip.I will never buy another Epson again. HP's are a little more expensive, but damn it, if you don't at least get print time on their carts. I'm sure some marketing genius figured they would make their money on carts. No more, I'm frustrated and will just toss my CX6000 in the trash. Bah!
