This pen is better than most others in this category. The erase function I have yet to find in any other digitizer pen and it's a function I use frequently. When you use this pen and suddenly find yourself using another digitizer it can be frustrating. Other pens have buttons on the side like this pen, but their buttons are easily accidently pressed leading to mistakes and loss of time trying to correct the problem you created by accidently pressing the button. For this pen the button works like a right click so you never have to switch to your keyboard or mouse. This seamlessly moves from writing like a pen to acting like a mouse and is incredibly versatile. The size is that of a regular ball point pen so using it feels very natural to write with (a lot of digitizers are smaller than normal and can feel a little foreign in your hand). To my knowledge this pen works with all Windows 8 Pro devices. I use it on my Surface Pro, but my husband uses it with his Lenovo tablet and it works the same. My only recommendation is to buy two although it attaches nicely to the side of my Surface Pro, I have noticed some people have sticky fingers and like to "borrow" my pen... also if you have kids I would say you absolutely need 2 pens. My pen has been through the ringer, in the dogs mouth, and in the hands of a 3 year old and survived to tell the tale.

Finally... I recommend checking to make sure you are not paying OVER msrp. Today this product was listed for $14 over the retail price. Do some research before buying. Personally I bought this from the original manufacturer that starts with an Micro and ends with a Soft.

This stylus uses the same Wacom technology like the Samsung Galaxy Note series phones and tablets (S Pen). There's no difference between the two. Better off buying a Samsung digital stylus rather than paying for something at this high of a price. I know this because my Galaxy Note II's stylus works with the Surface. Button still functions as a context menu - "right click" and everything. Also, BestBuy seems to be selling this at $30 [NORMAL RETAIL PRICE], so if you're looking for one go there. If you're getting this, its only for the comfortableness of holding an actual mechanical pencil with the hexagonal frame. The tip's pressure depthness is i think a little worse than the S Pen or official Wacom stylus' and the solid hardened tip makes me feel uneasy about using it on the screen; fear of scratching the surface (no pun intended).

If anything the Note 3's stylus is to me, the best candidate since it has an interchangeable tip.
For its price, not worth the price since it is using the the EXACT SAME tech from Wacom.

Thanks Microsoft for making a tablet that only ONE pen works for, and outdating my tablet barely a year later! I hoped the Surface 3 pen was compatible. Nope. Had to return it. They don't even sell these in stores anymore. You have to order online from Microsoft. I lost my first one becasue there's not really a good place to put the pen. If you're charging your laptop, the magnetic clip in is occupied. If you've got the pen clipped in, it easily snaps off. I'm pretty sure it snapped off in my backpack, fell out, and someone stole it. Completely frustrating. But on a positive note, I really like the Surface Pro and the pen works nicely. Microsoft definitely has some catching up to do but the Surface is a fantastic laptop.

I love my Surface Pro and when I lost the pen, part of me died. The precise tracking that this pen gives make the replacement cost worth it. I love everything about using this pen, even if it is over priced.

I wanted a spare pen, as I'm always loosing pens. Unfortunately, this pen was quite expensive, and I could not find anyone else who provided one, so there are basically no alternatives. So, if you are like me: Shut up and Pay Full Price!

The stylus I received had already been scratched up. Upon removal from the clearly repackaged container, it was clear that the device had been tampered with. My surface pro did react to the pen, but in no way was it accurate. Upon removal of the rear end of the pen, it became obvious that the RF coil had been either tampered with or poorly recreated. Either way, DO NOT buy this product.

I am incredibly disappointed, especially considering I just paid $45 for a piece of crap with no hope of getting my money back.

Another Wacom penabled to add to my collection. Nice grip, with eraser. Using it with my TC1100, Asus Note 8 and Galaxy 10.1 and 2. One caveat is that the pen doesn't come with replacement nibs but no big deal.

It worked to click or draw simple straight line, but didn't work to write words or other drawing. It skipped parts of words and drawing.
