This disk has staying power; it will stay in your player and not get old. If you have a chance to see Christian perform live, you will learn that not only is he a monster player, but a delightful person as well. This group works so well together, the interplay is hypnotic. If you ever give music as a gift, this should be at the top of your list. Even the un-jazzed will live this one. Christian's performance is dazzling. Tierney Sutton adds just the right spice to the project. If you want more, you are in luck; each of Christian's disks is a treat. This same trio backs up Tierney on her five releases. The four of them have played together for 10+ years, and it shows.

Yes, I think think Christian Jacobs and Trey Henry are terrific, all the songs are great, and the CD has legs.They're all stellar, but you have to check out Ray Brinker. Amazing drumming in a piano trio. If this were live and unmiked, he could never do it. In the studio, however, he really lets it fly. It's a given his technique is superb; it's his cymbal-style that'll knock you out. Great fun to listen to!

This is not just your Run-Of-Mill-Jazz-Trio, They have plenty of fire for just 3 (Three) musicians...Again 3 (Three)!. Already very popular in Japan (Which doesn't surprise me). It's just a matter of time before the world takes notice, so you might want to start rounding and gathering up ALL of their releases BEFORE the rush is on. At least this way when there's talk about this group you'll be able to say "Oh!, I have that". I almost forgot to mention they have the help of Tierney Sutton on Vocals on 2 (Two) of the 13 (Thirteen) Tracks found on this Compact Disc! Tierney has several Compact Discs dating from 1998 to the present and several of those feature The Christian Jacob Trio! On this project you can clearly hear that they compliment each other very well. A MUST HAVE!
