5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for scratchbuilding techniques for model builders.., September 9, 2009
This review is from: Styrene modeling: How to build, paint, and finish realistic styrene models (Perfect Paperback)
Produced by Evergreen (the folks who bring you the plastic sheets / shapes for building scale models), this book is full of techniques and tips for making a scale model from shapes and sheet plastic. From Railroad subjects to Aircraft. On their own, basic shapes are not much, but when combined, can make a great model. Some of the projects scratch built are a country Church, warehouse building, train cars, and a submarine. Other sections on the book show you how to add more detail to an existing plastic model kit. There are also sections on airbrush painting, scribing details, and other useful tips. If you ever wanted to tackle scratch building your own model subject, this would be the book to get.
