These tiles were just the ticket for covering my old worn out, stained and discolored popcorn ceiling. My wife and I did a 700 sq. ft. ceiling in a day. The tiles are easy to cut when fitting to corners and around fixtures. Every time a neighbor or a friend sees our new ceiling for the first time, their reaction is WOW! THAT'S BEAUTIFUL. These tiles were inexpensive, an easy DIY project, and the results were outstanding. I found the center of the room, marked the lines with perpendicular chalk lines and starting installing tiles. I quickly learned that you have to mount each tile precisely and keep the lines absolutely straight to have the sight line be perfect. I used ceramic tile mastic and it worked perfectly. I applied dabs to the back of the tile and pushed the tile into place. If you careful, you can push the tile around by the edges without damaging it to get into its proper place. I love what it did for the look of my home.

We questioned using something like styrofoam for a bathroom ceiling but we were VERY pleased with working with it, how easy it was to measure and conform to our needs. With an over 100 year old house the walls and ceiling are not always square and this product has some give to it where plastic or tin tiles would not have as much forgiveness. Working around ceiling lights were again a breeze compared to the plastic products I've used in the past. We are looking to use this product for more renovation projects in the future.

1st: Decorative Ceilings Tiles Inc. are GREAT! They send out the order quicker than anyone I have ordered from Amazon. Even better than Amazon :) We had 50's acostic tiles on the ceiling, real ugly. I have ordered from Decorative 3 times. Pricing was wonderful. Living room, dining room and now the hallway. I'm 68 and I had no problem installing the tiles. They actually look better than real tin ceiling tiles. Still have 4 bedrooms and a bath to do. Decorative Ceiling Tiles will have my business!! Want a ceiling people will comment on? Get the foam tiles and you will not be sorry!

I chose this rating because it is beautiful. I painted mine in an off white color they look like tin tiles when painted they look antique. Yes I would recommend this product. My daughter likes them and I'm going to be ordering some more to finish my house.

This tile really dresses up the room! We used it in our remodeled bathroom. It turned out so well and was so easy to install that we are considering using it in other rooms. I read other reviews that talk about painting it, but we love it just as it is with a pearly white iridescence. It is thin and lightweight, but it does add insulating. Consider the insulating power of a Styrofoam cup...hot coffee, cool hands!

Didn't know what to do about the bathroom ceiling, it was cracked and ugly. Just painting it wouldn't have turned out very nice at all. Then I saw these Styrofoam Direct Glue Up Tiles! When they arrived I painted them with a silver metallic paint I had already and they turned out beautiful. Paint them, let them dry and then put them up and you will not be sorry with the results. I saw a review where a person said they painted them but when they held them up to the light they could see variances in the paint thickness, I did not have this problem and I question holding them up to light because they will be glued to the existing ceiling so how is light going to get through your ceiling? Anyway I was and am so very happy with the metallic silver paint I used, it looks just like old fashioned real tin tiles. I am trying to save up to buy enough of them for my dining room because I despise the popcorn ceiling in my lovely old 125 year old house! Inexpensive and lovely what more could you ask for!

The end results of our installation was really awesome. The ceiling was scrubbed clean. I use the Glue 10 to glue the panels up. That worked really well with ten dime size blobs of glue on each panel. Within one minute it was set and ready for the next panel. All of that went really easy and quick. The hard part was that some panels would be too close together and others would have a gap. With the quick set glue there's no moving it later. I used latex caulking and sealed the lines. I the painted everything with glossy white latex paint. That job took a full day. I ended up with zero holidays.
