I never took biology and studied from this book.

I got a 780!

I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

I'm about 1/3 of the way through this SAT2 review book and its great! Its bringing up so many things that I totally forgot about. It reteaches everything that you'll need to know on the test and then quizes you at the end of each chapter. Seriously it is helping a lot.

I love the way this book is strcutured: easy to read/navigate. Highlighted points in the side margins. Now, I have previously taken AP biology, and already know most of what this book has to offer. This would have been a better review tool for my AP exam than the actual exam review guide I bought. Anywho, it's a great review tool for those who have been pre- disposed to the material. From a nerd's perspective, any enjoyable read.

This book has not enough information. I recommend reading the older Barron's SAT Biology book when it was labeled "How to Prepare... for SAT BIO"

Although this book presents a huge amount of information which, if all memorized and understood, would undoubtedly lead to a high score on the SAT Biology Subject Test, the sample tests are not rigorous enough and do not provide a realistic simulation of the actual testing experience. Studying the old released tests would be much better preparation.

I have used this book and it contains a major amount of information. All the information is nearly organized and you will be able to review and learn a lot from this. The only downside is you should not use the practice tests in this book to practice. The questions are extremely specific and not like what you will see on the real exam. The questions are much more unnecessarily harder. This is however, a great book to learn your biology from.

My son took biology as a HS freshman, then found out in the summer before his senior year that he needed to take the Bio M SAT test for a program he wanted to apply for. He had to take the test in early Oct at the latest, which was early in his Adv Bio class. SO, he bought this book (only) to prepare. It has one diagnostic test in the beginning of the book and two practice tests at the end. He spent part of 3 weekends going through the book (which incl bio he had never had before) and got a 670. It was his first SAT subject test.
