Subject: texture in yogurt Hi, I made yogurt using the machine. I used whole fat milk and European yogurt as a starter. The yogurt is tart enough, but it has texture when I taste it. It does not taste as smooth as yogurt bought from stores. Does anyone know how this can be avoided?

Homemade yogurt does tend to have a bit of a texture. I use a Greek-style yogurt as my starter, which produces a somewhat smoother texture, but to get a truly creamy yogurt, you'll need to do some things to it after you culture it. For more information, check out this post at Salad in a Jar:
