Some great new (and some old) Jenny Hart embroidery patterns, May 14, 2008
This review is from: Sublime Stitching Craft Pad (Paperback)
This is, as it says in the title, a craft pad full of embroidery patterns. If you are looking for a book with detailed instructions on embroidery, you should look elsewhere. There are literally 3 written pages in the book, and the only instructions are for how to iron on transfers, and get as many uses out of each transfer as possible (it states each pattern will give 3-9 imprints). I was, however, just looking for new patterns - so this was a fun little book for me to get. Since you can't really search the patterns through Amazon's "search inside" feature for this book, here are some of the highlights for me - There are a lot of big patterns such as a fairy on a toadstool, a devil/demon, unicorns, jellyfish, flamingos, partridges, and hummingbirds (lots of birds). Some of the patterns I believe you can also see on the Sublime Stitching website - drum sets, guitars, a Lucha libre/Mexican wrestler head, and Chinese good fortune cats (two of them, same size, but facing different directions). Several of the patterns are of the same image, but different sizes. There are also some new patterns (new to me at least) such as rocket ships, Chinese lanterns, robots, chandeliers, a fortune teller, flies, grasshoppers, and laboratory beakers. If you're a fan of Jenny Hart, or just want some funky new iron-on embroidery patterns, then this is a good buy - especially for the price.

Great Price, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Sublime Stitching Craft Pad (Paperback)
This product is simply a pad of reusable iron on transfers, with directions for how to use the transfers. If you are looking for some Jenny Hart patterns with embroidery instructions, look towards the Sublime Stitching book, or the stitch it kit. That being said, this craft pad is great. There are some "old" (patterns found in other books, on the sublime stitching website, etc), and some new patterns. There is a wide variety of patterns in here: jellyfish, angel fish, hummingbirds, an alphabet, unicorns, birds, chandeliers, chiuaha, sexy fairy, drums, guitar, tatoo inspired heart with knife, roller skates, rockets, robots, gypsy, devil, bugs, and many more. This product claims to have "more than 75" embroidery patterns, as it does, but do note that as with other Jenny Hart products this count includes repeats of images that are facing a different direction or are a different size....so, although there are more than 75 images, there are not 75 different images. There are approximately 49 unique images here. Overall I really like this craft pad, the patterns come out easily, and the pad is designed so that it almost forms an envelope which is nice. I love the cover design, which has provided stitching inspiration for me. I will not use all of the patterns in here, but the same can be said for any book of iron on transfers. I will use enough to definitely make it worth the price. I really love Jenny Hart's whimsical, often tatoo insprired style. Great Buy!

This book is great. Jenny Hart is so create. I have one of her books and this pattern pack. Her tips are great, and what I like most of all- the patterns are reusable! You can iron them on more then one item and I think that's awesome.
