5.0 out of 5 stars good stuff
please don't listen to the review of steve knopper, since he has no idea what he's talking about. this is the album that made sublime a name in the mainstream, with classic tracks like 'what i got', 'wrong way', 'doin time' and 'santeria'. but as good as those songs are, they aren't the whole album, the album from track 1 to 18 is awesome music. this album does not get...

Finally, Sublime as it was originally intended to be released. The second cd has some awesome tracks, Doin' Time (Uptown Dub) being my favorite. Alternate versions and remixes are greatly welcomed in this cd. This is a must for any true fan. I'm from Long Beach, CA and couldn't be prouder of my band, Sublime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brad and Sublime: resurrected at last...!, September 11, 2006
This review is from: Sublime (Audio CD)
Everybody loves this album; why else would you have clicked on the icon in order to view the product?

Everybody knows that the album has been re-sequenced in order to comply with Bradly Nowell's original sequence. I have listened to this album for so long, that it will take a while to RE-ADJUST to the new sequence of the songs!

Also, everybody knows that this album comes with a supplimental disc with extra goodies! The second disc contains several priceless songs- especially the accoustic material which has been included. In my OPINION, the accoustic tracks make the second disc the gem of the whole collection.

This release is a no-brainer for the fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bradley Nowell a frat boy?!?!, October 22, 2006
This review is from: Sublime (Audio CD)
Dude, you're an idiot. Anyway, onto the review... Since the death of Bradley over a decade ago (duuude, I'm getting old) there have been many Sublime cd's that have come our way. Some great (Sublime-Acoustic) and some not so great (20th Century), but either way it's always good to get some new Sublime. This particular cd has been reviewed extremely well by some great fans, so I won't get into that. I just wanted to note that "Seed", one of the fastest and punk-esque Sublime songs from the self-titled album appears to have not found a place on this "re-issue". That's something of a shame, but oh well. We'll enjoy it anyway.

Oh yea, they should have put the Pharcyde mix of "Doin Time" on this mix over the Wyclef version. Clef's doesn't even compare.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ha I agree w/paulo, September 1, 2006

That reviewer Steve Kopper is dumb as nails. "For all Brad Nowell's bulked up frat boy persona"...haha what? He probably listens to emo & wears really tight sweaters (wait or is that the 'frat boy' thing to do now? Whatever it's all so confusing) Anyway anyone who knows good music knows Sublime, & if you don't you should. I'm only giving this 4 stars rather than 5 b/c they held out too much on the unreleased tracks, I would have liked there to be more. Still a lot of the tracks particularly on the second disc will probably be new to more casual fans & most people, while the more hardcore are hoping the upcoming box set is released & is mostly new, unheard material. If you don't have the Sublime self-titled I definately recommend this version to the original, I would definately give it a 5 star rating to you if that's your situation. I compared the sound quality of this to the already perfect original & actually they're very similiar if not exactly the same so they didn't go & ruin it w/an overbearing remaster or anything, like corporations sometimes tend to do on these rereleases. Cop it. One Love to Bradley, greatest of all time

4.0 out of 5 stars They ****** up the artwork!, May 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sublime (Audio CD)
Great album. I actually bought this once and ruined the digicase. I bought it again for 7 bucks because the resequencing makes this album 10x better than the original as well you get the Marley cover at the beginning that just sets the tone for the rest of the album much better than the corporate sequencing of the original release.

ONE BIG PROBLEM: WHO THE **** left the 10th Anniversary font IMPRINTED ON THE DIGICASE OVER THE ARTWORK!

Seriously, I was going to reduce this to 1 star but I thought that would be petty. Anyway, it really does make this feel like it may not be definitive. They left the whole thing directly over the artwork! I have NEVER seen this done on any of the dozens of deluxes I have. Cannot believe this was agreed upon by the band or escaped quality control. It must have been some dumb**** suits with a serious case of retardation. Every time I look at it I laugh and cry a bit inside. Oh well.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have, January 12, 2007

This review is from: Sublime (Audio CD)
I can be a little biased because I'm an obcessed Sublime fan. I listen to Sublime at least five days a week. This is one of the three real Sublime albums out there (as in not a compilation) This album has to be the most professionally produced, and comercial of the three. I would recomed it to any type of music lover because this is just great music. Once you buy this one you will have to have 40 oz to freedom and Robbin the Hood. What's more to be said? Just buy it, you won't regret it.
