Editorial Reviews

Vinyl LP pressing. 2010 sophomore album from the Portland-based Dark Punk kings. Past and present members of Portland Hardcore mainstays such as Remains Of The Day, Hellshock, Warcry, and Lebenden Toten pull a 180 and dish out 10 tracks of icy, ominous Post Punk. Since their last release, The Estranged have dialed back the explicit aggression of their early singles a bit, and dialed up the textured, atmospheric, layered sounds of prime '80s Death Rock/Post Punk. The Subliminal Man was painstakingly, impeccably recorded at Type Foundry Studios in Portland.

2nd release from this Portland, Oregon band who play raw, high energy, melodic & stunning post-
punk guitar rock that's filled with a brilliantly trenchant & vital intensity....perfect for listening or
bouncing around the room. They mix the tight, reverb-riff, primitive desperation of the Wipers with
the terse angularity of early Gang Of Four and the imminent urgency of early Cure, while tapping
into the punk fire of Marginal Man/Feedtime. Great stuff!
