DIAMONDS IN THE DUST - BURNING MAN 2001
SubstanceTV visited Burning Man 2001 in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada this past September, and we returned with some very dusty, very magical still images that we've set to music and motion to offer a sneak peak into this inexplicable oasis of creativity and passion..

THE LAST RECORD STORE
Based on a documentary by spoken word artist Jeff Liles and partner Perla Doherty, The Last Record Store examines the cultural phenomenon of Bill's Records and Tapes, one of the nation's largest independent record stores and a sanctuary for an eclectic mix of musicians, street philosophers, and social misfits.

WAR AND PEACE - AMERICAN CROSSROADS
On September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on Washington D.C. and New York City ignited in American hearts a war fervor unfelt since the bombing of Pearl Harbor. But along with demands for military retribution emerged growing cries for peace. In War and Peace: American Crossroads, SubstanceTV examines the passions behind both sides of what may well become the defining issue of our time.

RHETT BUTLER
Rhett Butler, a 28 year-old Humble, Texas native, first picked up a guitar fifteen years ago, and he has since developed a style and technique both extraordinary and entertaining in this age of three-chord guitar heroes. Experience Rhett's unique musical approach in our exclusive video profile.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic concept. I hope it works out., December 6, 2001
By
This review is from: SubstanceTV Issue 01 (DVD)
A friend of mine told me about this DVD magazine and the people who made it. It's really an interesting story. But more importantly, this is an amazing piece of filmmaking and a brilliant concept. There are all kinds of things on here... how they did it and can sell it for this price is beyond me. I hope it works out, as this could truly become the Rolling Stone Magazine of the video generation.
