This review is from: Substitute Wife (#555) (Paperback)
I like this book. The romance was very sweet. Surprisingly I like the hero more than the heroine in the book. This book was a little different form most harlequin present in the 80's because the hero didn't come across as an alpha jerk. He didn't start off falling in love the with heroine in the beginning but then again the heroine didn't start off being in love with the hero either. What was great about the book was how we got to read the progression from friendship to love between the H/h. Once the hero realizes he was in love with his wife he showed it in his actions towards her. I thought he was very sweet in some of the things he did. The heroine on the other hand was cold towards the hero from the moment she discovered she loved her husband. I wish she treated him nicer once she realized her love for him. The ending was very sweet.
