I was introduced to Sarah Jaffe when she opened for Norah Jones here in Houston. As my husband put it, "It takes a lot of guts to get up on stage with an accoustic guitar and your voice." She was amazing! This album does not disappoint! Every song is powerful and you'll instantly fall in love with her voice. Seriously, just buy it! We've been listening to the album over and over without getting tired of it, and in fact appreciating it more and more each time. This is a must have!

Sarah Jaffe is one of kind. Her voice her demeanor her look is all so original. I saw her play the first time at Sons of Herman Hall in Dallas TX, a great place to see a singer songwriter like herself. My wife and I loved her tone and interesting dark lyrics. We went out immediately and bought her LP and loved it. We waited for this new record and purchased at her release party. Wow ! is the first word that comes to mind.
Her lyrics and sound or so interesting and mature especially for someone so young. This album is a must have -
I highly recommend it and if Sarah comes to your town, she is a must see in a live show !

Sarah Jaffe is the best new artist in at least 5 years, and that's being generous to other artists. She's been featured on NPR and other cool places so I've got radio cred to back this up. Diverse corners of my family took one listen to this CD and each fell in love with it. I've also been to two of her live shows in Dallas. Best. Shows. Ever. So good that we all argue afterward about whether she topped some of the recordings on the CD, which is nearly impossible. So...yeah. Buy this and support her. Now.

Great CD. I love Sarah Jaffee. Clemetine is one of my favorites. I was very happy with my purchase and had no problems with shipping. The condition of the CD was very good. I would recommend this.

Next to my Slayer, Black Flag, Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd albums you'll find Suburban Nature. Sit back and listen to the whole album with headphones. Very nice ride.

I can listen to this CD over and over. Not a bad song on it. Can't beleive Sarah isn't more well known. Every time I play this CD for someone they love it.

Three or four of the tracks on this CD are very strong. For me, "Clementine" was the one that stuck in my head and wouldn't leave; like a computer virus, it installed itself as a mental program that runs itself over and over. Probably worth the price of the album by itself, but the entire album provides a nice introduction to Sarah Jaffe's relaxed singing style wrapped around her more edgy lyrics. Download "Clementine" and, if you like it, go back for the rest.

I heard Sarah Jaffe's song "Clementine" on KXT Dallas, and instantly fell in love with her voice. As soon as I got to a computer, I downloaded this CD, and I am extremly satisfied with my purchase! She is a very talented artist and her lyrics are touching and relevant. I must say that I am now a Sarah Jaffe fan....Buy this CD you will not be dissapointed.

I don't know the first thing about reviewing music, but I also didn't know the first thing about open heart surgery and I sure as hell didn't let that stop me from becoming a person of interest in an ongoing murder investigation. So here we go. Suburban Nature is cross-eyed perfection. By that I mean it's the kind of music that makes you feel drunk even when you're sober. Find yourself staring out into space. Often. Anyone else? Probably just me. I don't know. Look, this is interesting stuff. You can detect the sweat of blistering, Malaysian child labor at the core -- as opposed to the over-processed sounds currently vomiting through the local airwaves. Sarah Jaffe's music is pure sawdust. Is that a good thing? I think so.

Before purchasing, I went through and listened to the samples in the belief that only a few would impress. This was futile. They're all pretty great. Each track stands on its own, no small feat by today's standards. Some musicians are lucky if they produce one worth listening to. Because of this the skip forward button has become a constant ally but with Suburban Nature you'll find little reason not to spin the entire album.

Here's to her success, folks, because this is only a taste of what we're missing.
