A Band Worth Checking Out, January 31, 2008

An absolutely amazing album. Its only defect is that it has so few songs. What it lacks in quantity it certainly makes up for in quality. Misty 540 received a little airplay on the local colelge station, but its still hard to believe the band never hit it big. The speed of the voals, guitar riffs and drums is in perfect harmony- especially on 'Optimus Prime'. If you remember the Ranch Bowl (and even if you don't) this is a must-have. There are other albums out there that are incredibly rare and hard to find. The used bin at Homer's is your best bet. There is talk of putting the tracks on Itunes in the near future. This album and all their others need to be shared with the world. They have a fan-run myspace page where you can check out full songs. This cd is typically listed at around $50 on here. Seems a tad high for so few songs- even factoring in the rarity of the album. But perhaps after listening you will disagree.
