Book Description

Pill-popping, non-English speaking illegal aliens with super hearing. Derivative trading gone right. Cain and Abel for the 21st Century.
* * *
Subway Noise begins in near future New York City with Oscar Witz III trading derivatives based upon a novel surveillance operation. Non-English speaking illegal alien ingest auditory-enhancement pills, resulting in temporary super hearing, enabling repetition of nearby conversation, in this case, planned proximity to Wall Street strategy sessions.

Oscar rakes in millions from the scheme, but one anonymous ex-repeater, presumably long off auditory pills, blames Oscar for debilitating, episodic vertigo. (Repeaters had always experienced a temporary episode of vertigo with pill ingestion.)

Pondering the extortion amount, Oscar recalls a family secret. He has a clone, a brother 10 years younger than him. Turns out without a mustache, but still perfect as an unwitting double, especially if exiting Oscar's work premises, always at night.

* * *
Thru the comic book medium, between the art, between the lines, Subway Noise tackles the intertwining nature of ambition, familial relations, and social good, packaged with a gun-toting, cartoonish, yet, calculating lab operator.

From the Author

"It's great to write a comic, see it interpreted by the artist, and later, the reader."

Very intriguing story, makes me want to read more. You need a better description for your comic that actually says what this is about.

I would consider myself an advanced reader... but I had no idea what was going on in this comic. What I did understand seemed really interesting, so I was a little disappointed that the story was so hard to follow.

The story is decent - fast moving. I enjoyed the illustration the most though. The fact that it is free makes it worth a look.
