About the Author
@AUTHBIO= Richard E. Lyons, the Senior Consultant with Faculty Development Associates, consults with and provides workshops to colleges and universities throughout North America. He served as the lead author on three previous books, including Teaching College in an Age of Accountab and The Adjunct Professor's Guide to Success, both published by Allyn and Bacon. Since 1996, he has coordinated the development of adjunct and full-time faculty at Indian River Community College, delivering courses and workshops, providing mentoring, and managing recognition initiatives. He began his career in higher education as an adjunct instructor, and has since served as a full-time professor of business management, department chair, and instructional dean.
