I thought I knew and understood a bar/beverage operation from years in the business. This book confirmed my basic knowledge and taught me new principles every chapter. This is a must for every owner and the bar personnel who want to gain more insight and working knowledge.

This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to learn about this type of business, or starting one of their own. A lot of very useful information, very well written, and easy to understand. I would highly recommend this book to anyone thinking about getting started in this industry.

Successful Beverage Management is simply the best hospitality book I have come across. As a consultant to the industry I have read most of the titles listed on the subject and have found this to be the most comprehensive and useful resource book that I have read. Every owner and manager in the industry should have a copy of this on their desk- not collecting dust on their bookshelf!

Luckily, Plotkin does, and lays it all out in this book for the novice and seasoned pro alike. If you can't keep pour costs and pars straight in your head, you need this book. The Author provides a very detailed insight of how important is to analyze the surrounding environment when planning your business and do not take anything for granted!. Mr. Plotkin expertise shared in his book would allow the reader to run a successful operation avoiding lots of mistakes and considering the human factor a priority. every day is a learning day...

Book arrived quicker than expected. Described as "like new" although one corner of the book was crumpled a bit. Would recommend seller.
