I bought both books at once and read this one first. I loved every page and really appreciated the practical advice.

As media person myself I found myself saying "I wish I had have thought of that" or "such and such should read this".

I would recommend this book to any person looking to get into not just Christian TV but any TV, its easy to read and very helpful from a number of angles.

I appreciate Phil Cooke's direct and to-the-point approach in this book. He says it like it is, isn't a soft sell and doesn't try to sugar coat how rough owning and producing a TV show is.

As the owner of the "Cooking for Busy People TV Show" (produced by Cornerstone TV) and used as a ministry to encourage people to put God #1 in their lives and live healthier lifestyles), I personally greatly appreciate being able to learn from Phil's hands-on experience, insight and wisdom. He isn't just talking the talk, he walks his talk. That is important to me.

While reading this book I felt so fortunate and privedged to be learning from him. I felt like I was sitting across from Phil and learning priceless truths about the hard realities of producing and airing TV shows.

A word of advise for any of you reading this review: If you are considering making a TV show before I would spend one penny on anything related to making your dream of having a TV show a reality, I strongly recommend reading from cover to cover every word in this book, make notes, re-read it again and THEN seek God's will if this is what He wants you to do. Successful Christian Television

First of all, I would like to personally thank Phil Cooke for taking the time to write this book, and to share his wealth of experience and expertise on running a successful television ministry. I found his book full of pragmatic wisdom and insights. In essence, it gave me an accelerated perspective into how to grow and manage a sustainable broadcast ministry in America. I highly recommend this book to every Christian who has a burning desire to learn how to leverage on the medium of broadcast to preach the Gospel of Jesus and to declare His finished work on the cross beyond the walls of the local church.
