I am really annoyed by the false reviews. This book does not live up to its title. It contains two Parts, first part is about self improvement and gaining confedence in yourself, the second part is very generic.
This book may have been a collection of free reports put together with a nifty title.

Hype-driven book for people who don't know much about business,

One of the biggest markets for coaches these days is selling to other coaches. In other words, people who want to help people but don't have a real genuine talent for it. This is one of the more laughable books I've ever read on coaching. But given that one of the authors is featured in that awlful piece of tripe called THE SECRET, there's not much else to say except if you buy into books like these, you truly get what you pay for. If gullible, non-critical thinking people are who you want to serve, then this book is FOR YOU (cue the balloons and streamers now as this review comes to an end....)

New or struggling coaches should not miss this valuable book!,
This review is from: The Successful Coach: Insider Secrets to Becoming a Top Coach (Paperback)
In the increasing collection of books on coaching, this books meets a critical need: how to be successful from the inside out! It doesn't just provide cute how-to's that would only work if one had extensive internet business or marketing experience. The ideas in this book will work for ANYONE that wants to be successful!
The first 9 chapters deal skillfully with the inner attitudes and motivators that are critical for success...including how to pinpoint and overcome excuses, fear, procrastination, and more! Emulating the top coaches who wrote the book will serve any beginning coach well and save valuable time and money. But that's not all! The authors continue with 8 chapters of step-by-step instructions on how to set up your practice, market yourself, and more - in terms that are practical and easy to understand. This book should be in any coach's library!

Major diappointment,

I bought this in a group of several books I hoped would help enhance my coaching skills. This book is more about how to start a coaching practice and offered none of what I was after.

Terri Levine, Dr. Larina Kase, and Dr. Joe Vitale combine their talents to create a truly superb book for people wanting either to get into the coaching business or who are one of the 91% of coaches earning less than $100,000 p/annum who desire to earn a full-living from their craft.
The different voices and skill sets of the 3 authors meld and blend well together in this book, combining Ms. Levine's voice as a long-term coach from the early days in the trenches of coaching when some people thought it might be just another business fad, Dr. Kase's confidence building exercises (including cognative behavior therapy techniques to excavate and alter self-sabotage), and Dr. Joe Vitale's great success as an internet marketer. Interspersed throughout the book you will also find the voices of other coaches and experts on a given niche topic in mini-interviews which further illustrate and enliven this excellent book for coaches. You will definitely want to add this to your resource library and refer back to it quarterly for ideas in ways you can improve both as a coach and as person running your own business.

it's all about money,

In the writers minds a top coach is a coach who makes a lot of money. What it takes to create a prosperous practice is well explained with examples and strategies. But in my mind being a top coach is not about making money, it's about the love and passion for coaching and to get people to move forward. If you are a successful coach, you won't have to worry about getting money; the money will come to you. A top coach teaches people to learn. They are able to connect, give honest and straightforward feedback and get measurable results that last. How to do that is not to be found in this book.

The Successful Coach is the ideal combination of motivation, inspiration and, perhaps most importantly, provides specific strategies for marketing and growing your coaching business. New coaches will find this book an essential guide as they're getting started, while seasoned coaches will find ideas to invigorate and expand their businesses. Coaches will also learn concepts that they can use to help their coaching clients. I highly recommend The Successful Coach for all coaches.
