This is a comprehensive freshman composition text--it has it all: brief, provocative readings, clear advice to student writers, and a handbook. It guides college writers through the process of writing papers by leading them through the writing process with a blend of thought-provoking images and essays and cogent explanations and checklists. The learning styles information is also useful for any student and is integrated throughout the text. Also, teachers will want to check out the annotated teacher's edition.

Book is very helpful. Sent the instructor version instead of the student version, but no big deal really. Thanks again.

Book was required by my professor but we barely every used it. I started to read it on my own and it helped my writing a bit. It has many examples that help get the point across. Worth the money.

I purchased the wrong book by accident and realized during the sipping process--so I emailed the seller and never even got a response!

On top of that the order took nearly two weeks to arrive and when it did arrive they had just put the book in a Manila folder--which obviously didn't work--the book was so beat up when it arrived I just threw it away. If you love to waste money do it another way--I love amazon and have had one or two small issues in the past--but amazon always took care of them the same day. Pay the extra money and buy directly from amazon.

it is the book I wanted along with answers to everything and extra notes for teachers. not the one I wanted and it wasn't specified in the description.

Successful College Writing gives you the support and more help with reading and study skills than any other text-book of its kind.

After reading and studying this book, you will end up with excessive confusion because this book not only provides unfocused and unclear information, but its overloaded comments and examples make the original explanation seem more difficult to understand.

This book was used but it looked brand new. Very pleased with the price and the time to get!
