Cure for a lazy day, May 8, 2005
This review is from: Succulent Crimson (Hardcover)
If you'd like your heart to race a bit while reading, if you'd like to turn the pages of a book breathlessly, if you'd like to be unable to put a book down until you've finished it, then this is a good book for you.
I read Anne Rice, but I'm not obsessive about reading vampire books. This one is well worth the time and money spent. It is fast-paced, well-constructed, and has interesting characters, so you want to find out what will happen to them. Ms. Zeuli knows how to tell a story that is so compelling that you simply MUST finish. Actually, I would compare Ms. Zeuli to Stephen King in her ability to write an accessible, fascinating story so that the pages seem to fly because you sink so completely into the characters and plot. I highly recommend this book.

Cynthia Zeuli shines in the world of vampire chroniclers, January 14, 2005
This review is from: Succulent Crimson (Hardcover)
After reading Cynthia Zeuli's "Bound by Blood," I was hooked...or, rather, bitten. Miss Zeuli breathes believeable life into characters that representt the worst nightmare for some, and the pinnacle of beauty and temptation for others. In this novel, she adds a mystery element and expands my slim knowledge of things vampire. For those who enjoy mystery with a touch of horror and more than a little heart pounding sensuality, Miss Zeuli is the author for you. I would highly recommend this and "Bound by Blood."
