DOREEN COURT was born in the Little Karoo, educated in Grahamstown and spent nearly 30 years in Zimbabwe. With an M.Sc. degree, she is a Research Associate of the Botany Department at Rhodes University and a Fellow of the Linnean Society. She now lives in George in the Western Cape.

The book is very interesting but somewhat old fashioned. More up to date would be : a clear picture for every plant mentionned, plus a determination clue per genus.
Nevertheless I know upfront that it was written more in a textual way, and I am very pleased with it because it gives enough answers on recent taxonomic changes and updates.
