More About the Author

Hi
Welcome to the Amazon page for Andrew Bradbury.

Like many writers, Andy has had a mixed career, and much of what he has learned along the way has fed into his books.

Starting with a degree in social psychology, Andy's first job after leaving university was setting up and running a Personnel and Training department for a light engineering company. He went on from there to jobs such as tutoring at a "Sixth Form College" (students aged 16 and over) and trainer, course designer and training manager in the Systems Integration division of a large telecomms company. He has also held a few of the "traditional" filler jobs such as restaurant washer-up, post office sorter and film extra

Alongside "the day jobs" Andy has studied General Semantics, for his teaching work, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (he has qualifications at both Practitioner and Master Practitioner levels), for his business activities and for life in general. He also has qualifications in hypnosis and hypnotherapy which he has used over the years in his work with a few, selected clients.

Andy's published work includes five books and numerous magazine and newspaper articles on computing-related subjects, magazine articles on training/presentation skills, two books on business skills, and a substantial website (Honest Abe's NLP Emporium at http://www.bradburyac.mistral.co.uk) which deals with the field of NLP and related subjects.

On the subject of Amazon, Andy says:
"I particularly like the 'Look Inside' feature that Amazon provides. It's almost like being in a bookshop and being able to get a detailed impression of what a book is like - the layout, the style of writing, the Table of Contents and so on. That means that potential buyers don't have to be totally reliant on other people's opinions. They can see for themselves whether a book is the sort of thing they are looking for.
"I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying one of my books make use of this excellent feature."

5.0 out of 5 stars Gone to a second edition, February 20, 2004
By A Customer
This book was really interesting and useful, for me, but if you look on the UK site you will find a second edition version which has a lot more material in it (more than 20 extra pages) and still at the same price as the original!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sucessful(sic) Pressentation Skills, May 25, 2011
This review is from: Sucessful Presentation Skills (3rd edition) (Paperback)
I haven't read the book - but I'm quite sure a key pressentation skill would be knowing how to spell the word successful.
