very insightful,

This review is from: Of Such Is The Kingdom (Paperback)
This is an excellent read from a reformed perspective. It answers questions like: what happens to children who die in infancy and, what role should children take in worship. I highly recommend this book to pastors, christian ed. ministers, and parents.

Theology of Children - an excellent resource,
By
This review is from: Of Such Is The Kingdom (Paperback)
This thought provoking text is a wonderful read for anyone involved in the lives of children. Dr. Sisemore writes this text for parents but anyone can read it an apply the principles of it to their lives. I met him at the Children's Spirituality Conference this past summer (2006).
I am a children's minister who was particularly touched by this text. He does excellent theology from a Reformed perspective to share the biblical history of children. His theology is practical and easy to understand which is why I recommend this book. His final chapter is his most helpful in that it provides practical steps to help churches and families to embrace their biblical mandates toward rearing children in godly households. If anyone is seeking greater understanding of theology in relation to children, this text is one that will help all readers. I have enjoyed it and made references to it on my blog to engage in conversation over many of the points that Dr. Sisemore writes about.

A Must-Read for Christian Parents!,

This review is from: Of Such Is The Kingdom (Paperback)
As a parent, I have found Dr. Sisemore's book to be very practical and insightful. It faces issues specific to our time and is very open about issues which are often controversial and sometimes avoided. If you have children at home - be they infants or teens - you can benefit from this book. I would also encourage those who minister to children in any way (which is really all of us in the Church) to read this book.
